Long Time No Blog

Hi everyone, it's been an age since I last blogged, I have been out of sorts and had very little time or inclination to do much of anything just lately, my M.I.L's death knocked me for 6 and it's been a struggle to come to terms with, things are getting easier but I am sure it will be a while yet until I can get over it...but I have to carry on, the kids finish school here tomorrow and I don't want my miserable face to spoil it for them when they come around more..

So I am putting on my Smiley face  and getting down to it.

Here is something I made to share this week that I made using Anna's lovely new kit  Marshmallow it's in her shop just now on Special at the

here is the preview of the page, it's a layout I did of my Oldest daughter Samantha just after she had our oldest Grandson Liam, he left school this week! gosh where does time go to....

here is another layout I did using the kit, this is also Samantha at stages through her life, I called it the "Circle Of Life"

so you can see the kit is so adaptable, and can be used for so many types of layout..
I am now a CT member over at SDK!  I worked on a Beautiful new kit in the shop by Scrappin Diva (Kristi W) ~ I Do Believe a kit packed with so many goodies! you will have to see for yourself...

here are 2 layouts I did of my youngest granddaughter Ellie on her 4th birthday using the kit,

in the 2nd layout are our two youngest granddaughters, Ellie and Ebony....

I have also worked on a couple of layouts for Rachael using her lovely Heirlooms Kit over at Digital Arts-cafe

Back again...and so Sad

Hi all, it's been a very fraught couple of weeks, and tonight we lost my dear M.I.L to Alzheimers..:(  although they have been saying the last couple of weeks that she is near the end it's still a terrible thing to hear..she was a lovely Gentle Lady..and I have missed her over the last couple of years that she has been suffering with this awful thing, she was not only my mother in law she was a Good Friend...
On the subject of my mum the news is better than we expected (Thank God!) her tumour has shrunk, and could shrink further, they can't operate to remove it yet because of her being on Warfrin for the clots on her lungs, until she has been on it 6 months they say it can be dangerous, but she is now happier in herself..

I had made these QP's for Fathers Day pages for tomorrow so I am posting them early as we will have our kids over tomorrow and I won't get much chance for a few days
I made them with Ann's (Delicious Scraps) Kit Thank You Dad..

Update and a Freebie QP

Sorry it's been so long, it's getting so hard to get down to all I have to do just now, my poor blog has to come in way down the list, ahh what I wouldn't give for some Normality!
Mum had to go to for tests last week, MRI and CT, I went with her both times, I don't know who gets more worked up her or me! today she had an appointment with the Oncology Nurse,  just a check up really, we did think she would get the test results but not so, on Thursday she goes again to see the Surgeon, he will then probably tell her how it's going, if the tumour has shrunk or spread, God forbid it has!
anyhoo enough of that, the weather here has been glorious, not that I have seen much of it, but we did manage to get to the Caravan for the weekend so I took my trusty laptop and here is a little something I made for you using Rachael's new Kit, A New Day

Col.Challenge Freebie

Hi all, just a quick post to let you know I am still here, Very busy as per usual!!
This weekend my hubby is over in Spain so I have used the time to decorate my bedroom, our 2 grandson's came to help me and boy was I glad of them!! *love you lads*. they were wonderful, Josh is 12 and Liam is 16 and he is so strong! he is only 10stone wet through but strong as an ox, our Josh stayed the night here and was a Great help putting everything back with me today..
I just got myself locked out! what happened was my sister called on her way to mum's and I was lending her some books for her to read, I ran out when I saw the car and when I turned back the flippin door had closed on me! there was I stood on the front (We live on a Busy main road) pants and top full of paint my hair snatched back in a pony tail (don't think I even combed it today) luckily she hadn't pulled off so I ran after her and she took me to my daughters to get a key, it was lucky she was in as she had been out to lunch at Dave's brothers..
Once I got back in I decided to get the last few bits of this kit finished and now I am going to have a stiff drink, a long soak and an early night

look at this Sheep! it was so funny, we were walking along a country lane near the caravan when I saw this above us on a bit of a hill, so I started to snap away with my camera, I thought it would run away as we got near but the thing never moved only his head and followed me with his eyes all the way past! I wished I had my video camera with me

Hope you like it, well now I am going, we have a tough week ahead, mum goes back to the Consultant, we thought it was tomorrow but she says it's Tuesday, so will have to get the letter they sent and check it, she also got the dates for her MRI and other scans for the 26th and 28th, what with blood clinic every week or more it's one long round of Hospital visits..but as long as they can help her we will do whatever is needed...Please keep us especially mum in your thoughts and prayers this week>>

Long time no post!!

Hi all, I know I am a stranger these days, it's hard trying to keep up here with going to mum's more just now....
She is getting more and more down due to the tests that she knows will be coming when she goes back to see her Consultant on Monday..it's a strain on us all...
I have not been back long one of my sisters and I have ben working the last 2 days on making a new Headboard for mum and dad's bed, I could kick myself for not taking pictures along the way, to see a piece of MDF turn into the completed Headboard now is amazing!! the downside is I have lost 5 of my nails in the process!! *sob* doing these jobs sure is hard on a gal :(  when I go tomorrow I will take a picture to show you the result..:)

Oh Baby..

Hi folks, today I got to play with a Great new Kit Oh Baby, by Karen Clarke from DAC.. it's a lovely Bright fun kit, perfect for your precious baby and many other Layouts too..

included in the kit are 15 Background Papers, 32 Elements, a Full Alpha, lower and upper case letters, numbers and some symbols.

Here are 3 Layouts of our youngest granddaughter that I did using the kit, you can see how versatile it is...

 

 

I am just working on a freebie too, so pop back later in the week and I will have it uploaded and ready for you...
We are having new Gas pipes along our road, it's a MESS!! we have a big hole right outside our front gates, luckily we were able to get the car in the Garage when they put a plate over it before the left for the night, I am just hoping it doesn't rain until they get it finished because the muck will all tread in the house..we live on a Very busy main road and have temporary traffic lights outside, all the pavements are dug up, it's a nightmare, we have this all around the area now for 26 weeks!!!
It really needs doing because there has been a strong smell of Gas here for months if not years,the men working on it for the National Grid say the pipes are so old they are rotting..hence the leaks, so we should get a lot better pressure too when it's done...roll on...lol
